Handmade St Brendan Desktop Tableau: Graduation, New Business, New Job

The original was carved of tile and frame in clay, then cast them in a combination of gypsum and metal powders. We then buffed and stained the piece. Each piece has the tile on the front and the history on the back, so both sides are handsome. The pieces stand and are meant to be placed on a desk, a mantel, a table. The history on the back of the piece states the following:

Brendan (486-575) is an example to anyone entering a new stage: graduation, new job, new business…. Brendan accomplished much, building monasteries, sailing with a group of monks from Ireland to America (before Columbus), succeeding because he was able to greet challenges with his vast sense of life as purposeful, delightful, and holy.
